"I talked with Bryan from Elite Auto Wholesale about purchasing a 2008 Lexus GX 470 to replace my 2004 GX 470 that was recently totaled. Elite Auto Wholesale was the only dealership within a 500 mile radius that had the exact vehicle that I was looking for. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing a vehicle from an Auto Wholesaler, but I took the chance and drove the 200 miles to take a look at the vehicle. Prior to arriving at the Wholesaler, I reviewed the free CarFax report that was provided. When I arrived at the wholesaler I was met by Bryan and was pleasantly surprised when I actually laid eyes on the 2008 Lexus GX 470. It looked in great condition; but prior to making the purchase we negotiated an extended warranty. Once I arrived back home I took the vehicle in for a once over by the local Lexus dealership and they noticed the water pump was leaking. We reached out to the extended warranty provider, but they considered this a pre-existing condition and refused to pay for the repair. I wouldn't necessarily say buying a car is an enjoyable experience, especially when my wife and I were looking for a pre-owned vehicle with specific, albeit rare options that are difficult to find. While my opinion about car shopping may not have swayed, the process by which we purchased our Audi A4 at Elite Auto Wholesale was an exercise is professionalism, courtesy, and mutual respect. From the moment that I had first inquired about the alpine white A4, Fredy Barahona was quick to answer any and all questions about the vehicle by phone and email. His location is about 2-hours from our home, but his willingness to work with us given our proximity, made our decision to travel and see the vehicle an easy one.
Since the process from initial contact, to driving away in the car exceeded 2-weeks, Fredy always kept us informed if another prospective buyer had their eye on the vehicle. Easiest experience I've ever had with a dealer. Very understanding of my perspective being in the military. Willing to work with me on pricing and availability. I knew what I wanted coming into this and I got the impression that they understood that. After unforeseen circumstances prevented me from making the 2 hour drive up to the dealership, they held the vehicle for me until I could drive up on the following monday. Upon seeing a 645i BMW in the parking lot of Elite Auto Wholesale in August of last year (2009), I immediately contacted their office and spoke with James Fleming about the vehicle and he indicated that the car was actually sold but he could find me the vehicle that I was in search of. I briefly shared with him that two of my friends had purchased vehicles from him and they were very pleased with the service he provided and the vehicles that they had purchased. I was pleased by the appearance of the one vehicle that I saw and my friend suggested that I needed to let James help me out and that he was great to work with.
I re contacted Mr. Fleming again in late September and shared what type vehicle I was interested in, the mileage, the color options and amount that I would commit to paying for the vehicle. He shared the process by which his company operates in researching and inspecting the vehicles they purchase for clients. He was up front and appeared to be very knowledgeable about the type of car I wanted and the best time to make my purchase as I was interested in a convertible. He asked how soon and I gave him a date that I would be ready to move on a purchase and once the date arrived he was on the hunt. He gave me weekly updates on the vehicles he saw and his recommendations. He was not pushy; he used extreme patience and seemed to take pride in helping me get my dream car of choice!!
Two months passed after initiating my go ahead with James and he found the car that I currently drive, A black on black with black interior 645i BMW, and what a car!!! I have thoroughly enjoyed driving the vehicle, the car's performance and the numerous compliments that I consistently receive. James was truly a pleasure to work with, he took his time to find the right car that I enjoy, he kept me updated and I feel that his customer service was truly outstanding. I would like to share my experience with you pertaining to Elite Auto. I have always disliked salesmen, so when a friend told me to go to Elite Auto, I wasn’t looking forward to it, but I needed a vehicle. I was looking for a particular luxury SUV. When I got there I met James one of the salesman there, he met me outside, as he was walking towards me I said to myself “here come the lies”. We went inside and I told him exactly what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. James started to work looking for my truck immediately. He had a difficult time finding exactly was I wanted, so he gave me some other suggestions and sent pictures. He called everyday keeping me up to date.
So to make a long story short, I purchased an Infiniti QX56, and I love it. I was so impressed with James and his honesty; I purchased a car for my son two month later, it was an Infiniti I30. We love both of the vehicles. I still have contact with James, when I need an answer to a question. He is always willing to help me and he always return my calls. I can honestly say James is more than just our salesman, he has become our friend.

My boyfriend and I were recently in the market for two vehicles, one for fun and the other utilitarian. Just wanted to let you know that I couldn't be happier with my 2004 Honda Accord EX. I've purchased cars in the past from other dealerships and received sub par service from dishonest salesman. This was absolutely not the case with Elite Auto Wholesale and Maurice. Prior to purchasing the car, Maurice went out of his way to make sure that he answered all of my questions as honest and accurately as possible. Without prior knowledge that I would be arriving to the dealership to purchase the vehicle, Maurice, without hesitation spent the majority of his working day (He didn't even take a lunch break!) taking care of the necessary paperwork and making sure everything was in order so I could drive of of the car lot in my well detailed and gassed up Honda Accord. You dispel for me the notion that small auto dealers have to be creepy hawkers of really crappy cars. When I first followed your online ad to look at a car, I had no idea what to expect at the end of Grove Rd. What a pleasant surprise to find a simple but clean office and to be greeted by a well-dressed and friendly Maurice. Even though I quickly dismissed the car I had originally searched, I took note that all of your inventory was nicely cleaned and polished.
After we decided to lower our price range, discouragement at the car conditions and shopping conditions everywhere left me to believe the experience was going to be a long and frustrating one. When the older Camry showed up in your inventory, I was pretty confident it would be in nice condition and that I would not mind making a trip to look at it.
I want to say how much I appreciate the way I was treated in your dealership. At the second visit, meeting Fredy was just as positive as meeting Maruice had been. You guys were very patient. There was no rush and no pressure. I most appreciate the fact that you treated me in a respectable manner even though I was buying the cheapest car on the lot. Negotiations were pleasant with no obvious game playing or insults.
I am happy that we were able to work out a deal because I enjoy supporting anyone who runs a quality business and treats customers nicely. I know there are more car purchases in our near future, so I hope to be back when the times come. Meanwhile, I will feel confident to send friends your way when I know they are shopping.

I have never written a review for a car purchase I made, I suppose because none were extraordinary. I have owned many new and used cars, buying them from both private owners and new and used car dealers. It was something I dreaded, because of the poor reputation of car dealers in general.
On January 2, 2014, my wife showed special interest in a cute little Audi A4 convertible. She wanted the convertible top for this summer and I wanted the AWD to help get us through the remaining winter weeks. This particular car was being listed on Ebay Motors with a Buy it Now or Best Offer option.
I had never bought a car on Ebay before, but my sister did and wound up having her used Jeep impounded several months after having it shipped from New Jersey to Denver. It had been stolen. She finally got it back; because the insurance had already paid for its loss to the owner it was stolen from.
With that story going through my head, I was more than a little cautious as I entered an offer for this Audi. I was also shocked and delighted when that offer was accepted! Now we had to make plans to pick up the car.
Linda suggested we take the Amtrak from Union Station to Richmond, so we could enjoy each other and the new-to-us car on the drive into West Virginia. It was forecast to snow that night too and, since the Amtrak to Richmond left Union Station at 7:30am, she thought it best if we stayed in a hotel to make sure we’d be able to catch that Amtrak departure. I reminded her that we had still not contacted the dealer!
I called Elite Auto Wholesales number from Ebay and Maurice answered. We quickly confirmed the sale price with the added processing fee with no surprises. When I mentioned traveling to Richmond by Amtrak and catching a taxicab to the garage, he quickly suggested that we get tickets to the Amtrak station closest to his home and he’d pick us up! That was SO sweet of him and Linda and I agreed that he was achieving “Outstanding” Customer Service points!
As Linda was purchasing the Amtrak Tickets online, the snow was falling hard in downtown DC. I was delighted that I was able to find a high quality hotel in Germantown, just outside of a metro station for less than the usual cost of a Super 8! The plan was complete and it looked like all of our goals would be met.
We were up at 5:30 the next morning, finding out that the storm had piled several inches of snow in DC. The metro was running and when we got to Union Station, our Amtrak departure was “on-time”, but switched to delayed 45 minutes before it was to leave. We finally boarded an hour late. Did I mention we don’t have cell phones? We always travel together, work together and live together, so who needs a phone?
Linda was able to use another passenger’s cell phone to call Maurice and alert him of our delayed arrival. He assured us that it was no problem and that he’d be waiting for us at the station. We arrived 90 minutes late and the train was dreadfully cold all the way from DC, with snow and ice all over the interior. Maurice greeted us warmly, seeing our cold distress, he quickly guided us to his waiting car and immediately turned the heat on ”high” until we had warmed up. On the way, we chattered about each other, finding Maurice’s background to be quite surprising and very impressive. You’ll have to ask him for the details. His rating with us had moved to “extraordinary”!
At the garage, our Audi was sitting out front. It was beautiful! Maurice explained that the entire Elite inventory was garaged except when being shown or serviced, because they are “Elite cars”, he said. Maurice expertly organized and explained all of the sales paperwork. He answered all of our questions. Then we took it for a drive!
Maurice said we could take the drive without him, but agreed to tag along to answer any questions and prevent us from getting lost. Within minutes of leaving the garage, we had Maurice reading us the operations manuals for the NAV and all of the features of the A4. He was happy to help us that way. His rating was now “Unbelievable”!
After taking it out to the Interstate and around the local area, we swung by the garage where Maurice installed the 30 day tags and instructed us to call him if we had any further questions. The 180 mile drive home was exciting. It was much too cold to put the top down, but perfect for trying out the AWD feature.
We phoned the DMV to ensure we had all we needed to get the tags, even dropping by with the copies of the sales paperwork provided by Maurice. We, of course, were told to return when the title arrived from Richmond. That important paperwork arrive a week before the temporary tags were to expire and, when another call to the DMV indicated we needed a notarized mileage statement, which we did not have, Maurice cheerfully offered to send us one, but that need was canceled when I visited the DMV and this time got the tags!
With the AUDI legal now in WV, we look back at this purchase experience with mutual delight. Maurice was easily the best car salesman I have ever met. The car has several thousand miles on it, with no issues at all. We love the AUDI and highly recommend Elite Auto Wholesale and Maurice Tinsley.

In early October last year, I purchased a late model Mercedes CLS500 from Fredy Barahona at Elite Auto Wholesale in Midlothian, Virginia.
I had talked with Mr. Barahona on the phone about the car before traveling to his location, and he told me all about it and another one that he had in stock with similar features. When I arrived, right away I could tell Fredy wasn't trying to "push" that car, or any other one, on to me. There was no sales pressure at all, and everyone in the Sales Office was friendly. Fredy only seemed interested in telling me all he knew about the automobile and wanted to make sure that was the model and type that would suit what I was looking for. He seemed more like a "partner" or "advisor", than a salesman. He offered to show me other vehicles he had in stock. I felt confident working with Fredy, and made the purchase at a very fair price on a very nice automobile!
In early February this year, while browsing the Internet, I found another automobile, an earlier Mercedes SL500 advertised for sale, also in Midlothian. I called Fredy, and amazingly, even though the car did not belong to his dealership at all, he knew all about the car! Fredy immediately contacted the owner of the other Dealership and brought it to his own location for me to see. Does anybody provide service like that anymore?
We spent quite awhile checking out this very nice convertible, with Fredy staying very late, long past his time to go home! Fredy was as interested in making sure everything was working correctly on the car, as I was. We negotiated another very fair price on the SL 500 that same evening. Unfortunately, it seemed the convertible top needed an adjustment. Right away, Fredy readily agreed to make sure the top met manufacturer's specifications before I took it, and then told me he would deliver the automobile to my house (about 75 miles away) so I wouldn't have to make another trip to come and get it!
As I already knew, Fredy was true to his word, and both of these fine automobiles perform just like new! People usually stop me ask me about the CLS500 because of it's styling, and the Teller at the Bank wants me to take her to lunch in the SL500! I have the nicest driveway in the neighborhood!
Did I mention Fredy filled up the gasoline tank about five minutes before I drove away? Does anybody do that any more? Elite Auto Wholesale, and Fredy Barahona will be the first number I call for my next automobile - you can count on it!

My family and I just moved to Richmond, and we were looking for an SUV. My wife just got a new job so we had to have a vehicle for her. We looked around for a while, and found some that we really liked. Elite had a Toyota Land Cruiser that we really liked. The problem with it was that it had some age to it. The first time I went in I talked to Roberto, he was very helpful in letting me know some other options. When it got down to crunch time I was working with Fredy. I already have one open car loan so I thought that would be an issue. I also knew that being a single income family of four might have a say in it. Fredy went above and beyond anything I would have ever expected. Rather than going with an older vehicle, with higher mileage. Fredy thought about what else he had to offer. We ended up buying a 2007 Mazda CX9 with much lower miles than what we thought we might be able to get. He also looked around for a lender that was willing to work with my situation. He got me a lower interest rate than I expected, and hit the payment exactly on the budget that I gave him. Overall it was a wonderful buying experience, and I would recommend going in and working with Fredy to anyone. I have 3 people that I work with that are considering a new vehicle, all three of them plan on going to see him in the near future.
